DBD - TV Pitch

First off, Yay, 50 Followers! If I wasn't in such crunch time for film I would do something extra special. In a couple weeks, I'll make good on that wish... somehow.

As a side project I was asked to come up with a TV Show pitch. I used my thesis film as a branching point. Here is some of the artwork created for that presentation. Sorry that there's no plot description, but maybe one day it will be a real show, and then you'll find out.

Finally, sorry I haven't been putting up stills recently. There have been another 5 or so scenes completed, I've just been absent minded towards blogging.

Mammoth Designs

Miss Frostad asked for Mammoths, and here they are.

I tried to play a little with the common, elephant style proportions, by mixing in other mammals. I think I could do a lot more with that idea in the future.

Another topic suggestion would be nice. :D

Indian Designs

Here's another group of designs.

I do wanna point out these are done off the top of my head in an hour or so, so there are probably lots and lots of inaccuracies to clothing and such. At the end of the year when I clean these all up for portfolio, I'll do research to fix em up, but for now it's just fun to doodle out the wackiest stuff.

If anyone has a topic they want me to do, you can just put it in the comments. I also don't mind groups of animals, as well as different time periods as suggestions.

Graveyard Complete!

The middle act of my film is now finished, which means no more graveyard scenes to animate.

Triumph, Power, and Revenge! I can see it in his eyes.

More Final Frames

4 more scenes done for film. A lot of these were really small, and only took a day. But they have a bit of lighting to composite for.

I doodled this samurai while I waited for my movie to finish.

Re-animation Scenes

I showed a few compositing tests for these scenes a little while back. Now they are fully completed! I decided 1 still each wouldn't be enough to show off all the lighting changes so I made this handy dandy chart to match the colour script panels I used to design the effects.

Film Update Jan 10th

I'm almost finished rough animating the reanimation scenes. Which meant I had to finalize my frogs design today. So new model sheet!

As well I've already finalized two of my graveyard scenes. Here are some stills of finished film. Complete with 2-tone, cast shadows, rain drops, and tears!

I think I'll be posting 1 still from each finished scene as the year goes on.
